The uniqueness of Veneto in the world through projects with international relevance
The Region aims to strengthen its international relevance also through high-level projects such as Expo, international fairs and sporting events.
Such initiatives are an opportunity to increase the knowledge of the Veneto Region and its rich tourist offer, cultural and economic opportunities around the world, as well as to promote the potential of the Region towards foreign investors and entrepreneurs.
The Veneto Region is involved in the following strategic projects with international relevance
Sustainable Veneto at Tallinn Green Tech Week 2023
The Veneto Region took part to Tallinn Green Tech Week, with the organization of an event in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Tallinn and with the Italian Trade Agency ICE - Stockholm office.
The event “Sustainable and Green Veneto. The opportunity of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games” involved representatives of Veneto Region, the Regional Innovative Network Veneto Green Cluster and the company Contarina from Treviso, at the presence of Estonian institutions and local tour operators.
Tallinn, European Green Capital for the year 2023, hosted the Fair NEXPO Greentech Exhibition (13-17 November 2023). The Veneto Region was present at the Italian Trade Agency stand, together with other Italian companies dealing with green technologies. NEXPO saw the participation of over 2.000 sector experts, as well as representatives of about thirty European cities at the forefront of green innovation technolgies.

Expo 2020 Dubai: “Veneto beyond the future” Veneto Regional Day in Dubai
Veneto: a winning, attractive and sustainable model
On 3rd February 2022, the Veneto Region and its strategy for the future were at the centre of a dedicated day, the Veneto Regional Day, at the Italy Pavilion of Expo 2020 Dubai. The event 'Beyond the Future' showcased innovative models which can change production and consumption standards and project Veneto into a green and sustainable future, imagining and designing an environmentally responsible world.
Many international stakeholders took part in the event. On this occasion the grounds were laid to start collaborations on projects and initiatives which will lead to new partnerships.

XXV Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, Milan Cortina 2026
The XXV Winter Olympic Games, also known as Milan Cortina 2026, will be held from 6th to 22nd February 2026 in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, and will be jointly hosted by the two cities (first time in the history of the games).
It will be a memorable, completely sustainable edition and an inspiration for future generations, creating a long-lasting legacy with positive effects for the whole country, and promoting important synergies with both public and private stakeholders.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation is the body in charge of all the organization, promotion and communication activities for the sporting and cultural events related to the implementation of the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
