International Twinning Agreements
The Veneto Region supports the collaboration between local authorities in Veneto and their foreign counterparts, with a particular focus on fostering social, cultural, and economic ties (Regional Law No. 3 of March 12, 2025).
The regional law supports the establishment of new twinning agreements and the strengthening of existing ones, with attention to their socio-cultural impact, initiatives for mutual understanding, and the promotion of peace and dialogue among peoples.
The procedure for establishing international twinning agreements for local authorities — including guidelines and a standard template — is available on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Mandated by Regional Law No. 3/2025, this initiative displays the list of twinning agreements between Veneto's local authorities and their foreign partners.
Developed with a focus on transparency and digitalization, the tool is an interactive database that can be browsed using dedicated search filters.
The list is updated annually.
